Crosby & Woods are proud to announce that we have teamed up with The Stroke Association to offer the opportunity to have a simple will professionally drawn up in the hope that our clients will then make a voluntary donation to The Stroke Association. All donations will be to help support their life saving research and also the vital post stroke rehabilitation services and support they provide to stroke victims and their families.

The Stroke Association is the only UK-wide charity solely dedicated to the fight against this hugely debilitating illness. Every year there are approximately 152,000 strokes in the UK. That's one stroke every three and a half minutes. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies, so it is an illness that can literally affect anyone without warning and its consequences are both immediate and at times completely life changing.

If you are 60 or over, or a stroke survivor of any age, then we (in partnership with The Stroke Association) would like to help you make a simple will. Making a will is one of the most important things you can do to protect those you love and also ensure your financial affairs are always in good order irrespective of your health. We are also happy to advise you at the same time on having a power of attorney prepared which is also something that represents sensible planning for the future. Sadly many strokes can and do leave a victim instantly unable to manage their affairs, both personal, health and financial. In this situation having a power of attorney already in place will ensure your affairs are looked after according to your wishes leaving you and your family to concentrate solely on your recovery.

For further information or to make an appointment to make a will under the Stroke Will Scheme please call our private client department and ask for either Greg Woods or Lucy Woods on 01273 734600 or email advice@crosbywoods.co.uk      www.crosbywoods.co.uk
